Amish Tripathi is an Indian author who is best known for his Shiva Trilogy, a series of novels that reimagines the story of the Hindu god Shiva in a modern, fictionalized setting. Born in 1974 in Mumbai, Tripathi studied at St. Xavier’s College before earning an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. He worked in the financial services industry for many years before turning to writing full-time.
Tripathi’s first novel, The Immortals of Meluha, was self-published in 2010 and went on to become a bestseller, launching the Shiva Trilogy. The series continued with The Secret of the Nagas and The Oath of the Vayuputras.
